Amongst those present were: Mrs Brew- ' stiT, black and white check costume, black feathered toque; Mrs. R. Bayley, dark grey tailor-made costume, faced with black silk, Wack turban toque; Miss Brett, white, muslin, 'burnt straw hat, trimmed with black velvet ribbon and pale pink roses; 'Miss Ryan, cream serge costume, hat to correspond; Mrs. Bowley, grey costume, black hat, with pale pink roses; ,Mrs. Lodge, cream coat and skirt, black plumed hat; Miss Kyngdon, white muslin, burnt straw hat, with ■black silk bows and pale pink roses; Mrs. Leatham, grry costume, black hat; Mrs. Clianey, cream eanlona cloth, cream hat, with pink roses; Miss Mathews, white muslin, mole-colored hat, trimmed with cerise velvet; Miss Dempsey, white muslin, moss-green hat, with shaded roses; Mrs. J. iPaton, Mrs. Haslam, Mrs. Johns, Mrs. Tlntchen, 'Mrs. Walker, Miss Brewster, (Miss Bewley, Miss Blundell, Miss F. Evans. Miss Read. Miss C. Leatham, Mrs. Glasgow, Miss Glasgow, Miss D. Bedford and Miss Standish. I A most enjoyable evening was spent at '■ •Mrs. Blunder's on Saturday week, when j the guests who were bidden indulged in ; progressive games of bridge, which endad finally in Miss Brewster receiving first honors and Mr. A. Bewley those of the gentlemen. ,Mrs. Blundell received her guests in a Copenhagen blue eolienne robe, with ercam lace yeke. Miss' Blundell wore reseda green silk voile, with cream lace berthe; Miss G. Shaw, pale pink ninon. veiled with shell pink i satin, corsage trimmed with silver; Miss !M. Fookes. white velvet, with silk braidings; Miss D. Bedford, flame-colored satin, veiled in shell-pink ninon; Miss , Staadish, white silk, relieved with Wack buttons; Miss Wade, black and white silk, piped with emerald green; Miss Brewster, white velvet, with Irish crochet tucker: Miss Ashdown. saxe blue, with gold Oriental trimming; Miss Mathews, pale pink crystalline; Miss Saxton, pale blue silk, trimmed with vieux rose; Miss K. Whitcombe, white silk. I Miss Constance Leatham gave a very jolly little musical evening on Thursday evening, and amongst those who rendered vocal items were Miss Hammond. Miss Standish, (Miss JMundcll, Miss M. Thomson and Miss Kyngdon. There was also . a drawing competition, each guest being I requested to bring an outline drawing of J her head, which, when entering the hall, I was taken, from her and pinned around {the wall. Then the one who guessed , the most received a prize, which ended | in a draw between Miss D. Bedford and Miss G. Kyngdon, the latter winning. Amongst those present were: Misses Leatham (2), .Miss F. Fookes, Misses Greatbach (3), Miss Wade, Mrs. Colvile Miss W. Webster, Miss M. Glasgow, Miss Bewley, Miss H. Outfield, Miss Mathews Miss D. Bedford, Miss G. Shaw, Miss M.' Thomson, Miss M. Lennon, Miss Hammond.
