PERSONAL.
The Moa Road Hoard, at its moetin" -on Saturday, resolved to forward a vote of sympathy to the widow and family of the late E. J. Morgan, a former member of the board. Mr. W. E. Percival, of Inglewood, has been appointed by the Moa Road Board as its representative on the Assessment Court, in the event of any objections being raised to the valuations that are now being made in the district. At Waitara the other evening Mr. James Mitchell and Mrs. Cusaek, on the eve of their marriage and departure for Hawera to take over the Shamrock Hotel, were entertained by their friends and made the recipients of a presentation. The Hon. G. Laurenson, Minister for Marine, accompanied by the Hon. Te Rangihiroa, Minister for Native Affairs, will arrive in Waitara this evening to attend the social and presentation to be tendered at the river port this evening to Mr. W. T. Jennings, ex-M.P. for Taumarunui.
