A WEST COAFT PROTEST. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. A deputation representing the Kangitikei and West Coast (South Island) flawmillers' associations waited on the Hon. A. M. Myers, Minister of Railways, tkis afternoon, in respect to the differential railway rates. The deputation complained that the millers on the Rotorua line were better treated in the way of concessions than were the millers represented by the deputation, though the i latter had to compete with the former! in the same market. The Minister admitted the force of the representations, but pointed out that a considerable sum of money was involved. The Railway Department was anxious to do the best it could for its customers. The matter would receive his careful consideration. -
