"EVERYWOMAN." At the Theatre Royal on Monday evening the J. C. Williamson, Ltd., management will present for the first and only time in New Plymouth the phenomenally- successful dramatic spectacle, "Evcrywoman," which is at present attracting record audiences in Auckland. Walter Browne's drama appeals to evensection of the community. It has a delightful, pure, sweet atmosphere throughout, though it does hold the mirror up to nature. The story of "Evcrywoman" is 'intensely interesting, and contains some remarkably exciting and powerful (Jrajpatic. situations. It is splendidly ipojmted," and the dresses are said to be ijingnificent. A feature of the production is the incidental music, which will Be played by a full operatic orchestra. It was composed by Mr. George Whitcfield Chadwick. Miss Hilda Spong will doulbtless be received with enthusiasm, as she has reached the top rung of her profession in American, and has delighted Australian playgoers with her splendid interpretation of "EveryI woman." Miss iSpong earned some publicity in Sydney by her. bravery in putI ting to rout a burglar, who evidently had an eye on Miss .Spong's jewels, The re-appearance of the young American actor, .Mr. William Desmond, will be welpomcd, as his performances in "The Lion and, the 'Mouse" and "The Third Degree" Mill live in thememories of Ne<v Zealand' playgoers. The cast includes two new ajrtists, in .Miss Elsie Clarens and Mr. George (Miller. The latter is described ' America's leading comedians. In criticising a recent Australian production' a well-known critic wrote: "There is more entertainment, more real enjoyment and more lasting satisfaction in 'Evcrywoman' than in any other two plays added together. There is something about 'Everywoman' that is easily 'distinguished. She is the average woman and a little more. In her are all 'the dreams, the hopes, the aspirations, | the* ambitions, with which the life of the normal woman is freighted." The plans l; are at Collier's, where central seats jri either the dress circle or reserved stalls can be selected. The company will finish their Auckland season to-night and will 'arrive here .by the Rarawa on Monday morning.
