On Friday, 12th, at my Waiwakaiho yards, there was a good yarding and attendance. Bidding throughout was I dull. At Urenui on Monday I had a fair entry of cattle, the demand being best for steers and good store and forward cows. In my Stratford yards on Tuesday there was a big yarding of stock and a ▼ery large attendance. Buyers were present from all parts of Taranaki, and there was a good demand for all classes, especially for good 3'/,-year bullocks and store cows. The last draft of 80 odd bullocks from the Xukuliakere station were of excellent <|iiality and met with good competition. pali=inrr .GO 5s and £0 7s. Good .vcaners sold at improved rates. At Stony Eiver on Wednesday I had a small yarding but a good attendance and demand, practically everything being cleared at the hammer at the following rates: —Jersey weaner heifers £2 3s Gd. 20-months steers £2 9s to £3 7s (id, 2-year steers £4, 20-months heifers in calf (small) £3 Is,' 2 ! /o-year in-calf heifers £5 ss, store cows ~£2 to £3 Is, forward cows £3 8s to £4 as, bulls £1 5s to £3 16s, dairy cows £4 5s to £5.

Matthews and Bennett report that there was a fair yarding of ca'ttle in their Inglewood yards on Wednesday. Calves made from £1 Is to £1 18s 6d, store eows 30s to £3 7s 6d, bulls £2 10s to £4 7s Gd, lambs 6s 2d to 8s 7d, f.m. ewes 4s 6d to 7a 6d.
