The Meteorological Department published the following weather summary and forecast at 5 p.m yesterday:— Summary.—The barometer has fallen everywhere, with increasing cloudiness and humidity, and showers have fallen in a few places. The winds have changed to a northerly direction in most parts of the country. Forecast. —Present indications are for strong .westerly winds and cloudy and unsettled weather, with rain on the West Coast and southward of New Plymouth and Napier The barometer has a falling tendency everywhere.
