FORESTERS' CONFERENCE. By Telegraph—Press Association. > Wellington, Thursday, j Delegates from all districts of Fores- j ters have assembled at Wellington. They passed a resolution unanimously recommending the formation of a subsidiary high court for the Dominion. It wus explained that the tacit consent of the High Court of England had been obtained. A resolution of sympathy and condolence was passed with families having relatives on the Titanic, and express- ■ ing admiration of the conduct of the officers, crew and male passengers in nobly sacrificing their lives for the women and children. The delegates represent 10,000 members, with funds amounting to £280.000. LAND FOR SETTLEMENT. Timaru, Thursday. iTlie Timaunga settlement was balloted for this morning. Sixteen sections, aggregating 4897 acres, were disposed of, but there were no applications for the other three sections, aggregating 1051' 5 acres.
