The Court of Directors of the Royal Humane Society made the following awards to-day:— In the case of John Dodd, aged 13, fot attempting to rescue Thelma Edwards from drowning at Stratford on November 6, 1911, a letter of commendation. Edward Charles Nelson, aged 26, for rescuing Hugh Milligan, aged 27, and Leonora Parker, aged 30, from drowning at Auckland, on July 11,' 1011. No award made, there toeing no danger to the rescuers. Robert R. Allen, aged 10, for rescuing Mrs. R. S. Reynolds, aged 50, from drowning at Auckland, on August 12, 1011, certificate. Herbert V. Barker, aged 25, for rescuing Roy Martin, aged three, from burning at Auckland, on December 7, 1911, silver medal. Richard Norman Thomas, aged 11, for rescuing William O. Wilkins, aged five, from drowning at Akaroa, on' February 24, 1912, framed certificates. Samuel D. Campbell, aged 43, for rescuing David Tuvlor, aged 38, and James Taylor. no;ed 10, from drowning at Akaroa. on February 24, 1912, framed certificate. Samuel D. Campbell, aged 43, for rescuing David Taylor, aged 38, and James Taylor, aged 10, from drowning at Opotiki, on December 20, 1911, silver medal. George Tyler, aged 30, for rescuing Alfred Grey, aged 27, from drowning, at Ponsonby, Auckland, on December 22, 1911, certificate. Charles 11. Jan.field, aged 41, for rescuing Andrew Brown, aged 10, from drowning, at Kingsland, on September 28, 1911, certificate. Ernest Henry Connor Sherburd, aged 28, for rescuing Arthur Newton, aged 18, and attempting to rescue Cecil Phoenix Newton, aged 30, from drowning at Riv-" erton Beach, on March 3, 1912, silver medal. 'William G. Evang, aged 23. for rescuing and attempting to rescue four young men from drowning in Manukau Harbor, on April 2, 1911, silver medal. (Myrtle E. fiegnr. aged 14, for rescuing Maggie Peake, aged 14, from drowning at Timaru, on March 4, 1911, certificate. Harry Juriss, aged 39, for rescuing John F. Jones, aged 28, from injury oc death, at Wellington, on December 23, 1911, silver medal. Michael Crowley, aged 49, and Joseph H. James, aged 35, for rescuing several persons from suffocation by gas, at the May Queen Mine, Thames, on January 11, 1912, silver medal to Crowley, bronze medal to James. Herbert J. Gerrard, aged 39, for rescuing ,Mrs. E. Eaton, aged 37, and Miss Reid, aged 20, from drowning, at Devonport, on January 26, 1911, held over pending further information.
