INCREASED EXPENDITURE. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright Berlin, April 10. The Defence ißill has been published. It is proposed permanently to commission three battleships, three large and three small cruisers beyond the existing arrangements, and to reduce the strength of nucleus crews. Six submarines will be built annually. The personnel in 1020 will be increased by 24,869 officers and men. The total cost of the two Bills will be £32,525,000 up to 19,17, of which £10,500.000 is for the navy.
