Ell*n Carroll, a g ingi e woman, aged 24, died at the residence of her parenti at Parnell, as the result of Lysol pollening. She had previously been ill, and consulted a doctor, who found her in a certain condition, and advised her to talk the matter over with her mother. The jury returned a verdict of lysol' poisoning while in a state of temporary, insanity. THE GI6BORNE DROWNING FATALITY. Gisborne, Yesterday. At the inquest on Cordon Brown and Leonard Goatley, drowned last week by being swept off the western groin, a verdict of accidental drowning ww returned. The magistrate commended the action of Hewett Douglas, sayi«g that it was worthy of recognition by the Royal Humane Society.
SUICIDE AT WAIPAWA. Waipawa, Yesterday. W. H. Stent, an old resident of th« district, committed suicide on Satwday. He was found in the garden with his throat cut, and with a razor besid? hiin. FATAL SHOOTING CIASE. ( Auckland, Yesterday. • Harold Palmer, aged 16 years, was accidentally shot dead at Manurewa. It is understood that Palmer went out with a companion in the morning on a shooting expedition. His parents reside at Weymouth. They came to the district three years ago from Wanganui. A IIU,SII FATALITY. Nelson, Yesterday. John Duffln, employed at Biller's sawmills at Croixelles, was fatally injured on Saturday afternoon. He was engaged in trucking logs from the bush, when he fell, the wheel almost severing his leg. Duffin died early on Sunday morning.
