Meteorological Department pubpthed the following summary and fore;«Ht at 5 p.m. yesterday:—Summary: Tfce weather has been stormy in the north--ermnost districts, and cold and changetable generally. The barometer has been ;T«ry unsteady, and this evening is rising ".in the north but falling in the south. jfltrong westerly and southerly winds predominated, and a heavy southerly gale is now reported at Cape Maria Iran Dieman. Forecast: Present indications are for a temporary fall in the ifgouth, but a rising barometer everywhere 'soon. Strong southerly winds will prob--s»fjly prevail, with cool and changeable Iweather, showers passing in many parts fqf' the country.
