NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB. The New Plymouth Golf Ciub's season was 'opened on Saturday with a mixed foursomes match, in which 24 couples competed. The winning card was returned by Miss Glasgow and E. J. Reid, with the excellent score of 81% net. The club was favored with a perfect afternoon, and a large number of lady friends and visitors were present. 'The six best cards were as follow: Miss Glasgow and E. J. Reid, 91 less 9y s —Biy 3 ; Miss Brewster and A. Bewley, 95 less 2—A3; Mrs. Johns and F. S. Johns, 98 less 5—93; Miss Bewley and W. Bewley, 100 less 5—95; Miss L. FitzI herbert and C. H. Burgess, 108 less 12— ;96; Mrs. Gray and R. A. Gray, 108 less 12—96.
