REPORTED DEATH DENIED. By Cable—Prese Association—Copyright London, April 11. Messages from Madrid, confirmed by the. Papal Nunciature, announce the Pope's death. Rome, April 11. The report of the Pope's death is untrue. Reuter states that the Pope is in excellent health. A CURIOUS MISTAKE. Received 12, 11.30 p.m. Madrid, April 12. The mistaken reference to the Pope originated in an official Papal nunciature receiving a telegram announcing his father's death, worded, "Papa ha muerto." The telegraphic authorities informed Canalejas tha.t the Pope was dead, and Canalejas told the journalists.
