THE WEATHER.
I SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Meteorological Department published the following summary and fore-1 cast at 5 p.m. yesterday:— Summary: Fair to cloudy and misty weather has been experienced, with showers in several localities last night and this morning. Moderate easterly and northerly breezes have predominated, Avith a slowly falling barometer. Forecast: The present indications are for moderate to strong easterly winds northward of New Plymouth and Napier, and increasing northerlies elsewhere. The barometer will probably fall everywhere, for a westerly low pressure area is due to pass in the south about Sunday night or Monday morning. Increasing haze and cloudiness will probable precede unsettled weather and rain, especially on the west coast and in the south.
