The lodge of the Independent Order of Good Templars adopted a resolution rejoicing at the splendid result of the New Zealand prohibition vote, regarding it as a' most significant object-lesson, showing that the people were ready to face the direct issue of liquor or no liquor in preference to the lesser issue of local 'option.
