' SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Rev. D. C. Bates issued the following weather summary and forecast at 5 p.m.:—A westerly low pressure has dominated the weather conditions during the past three days, hut the barometer has risen slowly at the Bluff 6ince midnight. Rain has fallen in most parts of the country, and warm and cloudy conditions have prevailed, with strong westerly winds generally. Present indications are for strong westerly winds, veering shortly to southerlics in all parts of the country, with a rising barometer. Cool and changeable weather is probable generally, with rain in most parts of the country, and some snow on the Ligher levels in the south.
