In the (Police Court, on Thursday, Humphrey Berkeley, a barrister, well known in Australia and New Zealand, was ordered to refund £25, paid by an Indian as passage money to the Argentine, and £5 damages. It was stated in evidence that a number of other Indians had paid similar amounts. Notice of appeal was given. A MISSING MAIL tBAG. Brisbane, April 6. A mail bag, containing cheques and other valuables, representing £IOOO, mysteri#usly disappeared some days ago, and no trace of it has been found.
