THE LONDON MARKETS. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 6, 1.25 a.m. London, April 5. Wheat.—The markets show a holiday bone, sellers holding for full prices. Thirty-nine and ninepence was asked for a New South Wales cargo off coast, and 38s Cd for South Australian April shipment. Victorian March shipments are quoted at 38s Cd, paid parcels, from three ports, and 37s 10y 2 d for April-May shipments. There is a fair enquiry. Australian spot is quoted at 41s to 425. Flour is firm but inactive. Oats are in strong demand. ALa Plata March shipment brought 18s 10% d. The poverty in the industrial centres is depressing the butter market. Danish is quoted at 1275, 130s; choicest Australian 116s to 120s, unsalted 118s to 1225, secondaries 112s to 114s, New Zealand l*2s to 1245, unsalted 1255, Argentine 116s to 120s. Cheese is quieter. New Zealand is quoted at 73s to 745.
