In the final gallops Lady Medallist put up the best performance of the morning, running six furlongs in lrniin. 17ygsec. She went particularly well, and finished in a style suggesting that she could have shortened the time if asked. Blairgour did a similar spin in lmin. 19sec. Woolerina comfortably beat Bright Laddie over six furlongs run in lmin. 18% sec. Trafalgar covered the last round of a mile and a half in 2min. 24 1 4 sec. Gunboat, working alone, completed a circuit in 2min. 20sec, the last furlong occupying 14sec. He finished well. Malt King, Prize Fighter, Paramattan, Cisco, Lager, and Ortan were also responsible for good gallops.
