'BIG DEMAND FOR PROSPECTUSES.
The issue of prospectuses of the Tbranaki (New Zealand) Oil Wells, Ltd., is now being made to the public. The demand for prospectuses has- been so great that it has been found neeossWy to hav,e a. large number more prirJted. It is officially announced' that Sir George Clifford, Bart., S'tonvhurst, ChristMnirch, and Sir John Love Harrington, K.C.M.C., of ,Lond'on, chairman of the Oil Trust. Ltd., will join the board. Aifter allotment a very large subscri]Aion is- anticipated.
Yesterday Prof. Eastcrfield, Nehv Zealand University, accompanied by Mr. ;T. B. (Connett, paid a. visit to the "works, land was shown over the wiliolp of itlie, company's property, evincing great interest in what he saw. Some time «go the professor supplied the company with an analysis of the oil then flowing from the bores. Other visitors to the works included the visiting team of Auckland bowlers, tbgelther with 'thje local bowlers. They were met at the works by some of the directors and the- manager, andi taken to all threp bores, which were flowing splendidly. The visitors were grchtly interested and' .surprised' Ut the amount of oil stored rat the works. Th« "whole process mf winning the oil, the firing ns well as the miniature refinery, also aroused (the interest df the visitors.
