I RE-UXIOK SPORTS. The re-union sports to be held in Mr. 11. Okey's paddock, Frankley road, on Easter Monday, should provide an enjoy- } able outing for those local residents who cannot spare the time to journey to any | distant holiday resort. The committee ! met on Monday nig'ht and perfected the arrangements. Splendid entries have been received for the running events, including some good runners. There are 16 entries in the lOOvds, 11 in the 220 yds, 11 in the 4'iOyds. 10 in the 880 yds and nine in the mile. The cycling events, which are post entry, should also be well contested, as a number have already entered in both. At the request of a number of horsemen two horse-jumping events have been included, one of which is open, whilst the other will be coufined to local horses and riders. Handsome trophies have been awarded, and the excitement in the latter event, at any rate, is running high. Every milk-cart horse and plough horse is now an embryo steeplechaser in active training. It is understood that the single and married ; ladies' championships are also arousing much friendly rivalry among the fair sex. The committee in charge of the children's events have laid in a huge stock of toys, and the youngsters are evidently in for a good time. There are many miscellaneous events also, which are sure to attract, such as the high jump, sack race, stepping-the-chain, sheep-guessing, etc. The commissariat department has not been forgotten, the committee having arranged with a caterer to supply afternoon tea at the nominal figure of 6d per head. , 'Brakes will also be running from town throughout the day. Besides the toys provided, the committee have been very fortunate in securing sjpecial prizes for the youngsters. For the boys' handicap (under 10) the first prize is a silver medal; for the girls under 10 the first prize is a silver bangle. In addition there are two pairs of guinea-pigs and a pair of pigeons as special children's prizes. The following handicaps have been declared for the open events:— 100 Yards.—G. F. Bertrand 4yds., G.
