There have been sensational disclosures in connection with Count Khuen-Hedervary's recent audience with the Emperor Francis Joseph in connection with the proposal forced on the Government by the Kossuthites to restrict the enlistment of army recruits. The Emperor Joseph reminded Count Hedervary that Hungary never had a truer friend thin him; he had always tried to rule constitutionally, and there was now a desire to interfere with his rights as ruler. If this was unaltered, nothing but abdication was possible. The Emperor Joseph's letter has been published, in which he conserves his right to call up recruits.
