THE CREDULOUS PUBLIC. By Cable—Press Association —Copyright. Received 31, 5.5 p.m. Paris, March 30. A bank was recently founded for investing in mortgages in South America. The capital of the institution was 10,000,000 francs. Yesterday the public subscribed the first instalment of 400,000 francs. Enquiries were subsequently made by the police, yhen it was ascertained that the only security was valued at 200,000 francs.
