LAWN TENNIS.
WAREA v. OKATO. A very enjoyable game was played on the Okato Tennis Club's courts 'on Thursday afternoon between teams chosen from the Warea and Okato clubs. The weather was all that could be desired, and afternoon tea was provided by ie lady members and others. The games were spiritedly contested, but I do not think we uneartlied a Wilding or a Miss Travers out of the players. The results of games were as follows, Warea being mentioned first in each instance: — Wilson and Miss Corbett 0 v. Leedom and Miss Shaw 4; Wilson and Hawkins 4 v. Daily and Street 2; K. Andrews and Mrs. K. Andrews 1 v. Turner and Miss Andrews 4; Miss Corbett and Mrs. S. Wells 3 v. Miss Hall and Mrs. Turner 4; K. Andrews and W. Wilson 7, v. Turner and Leedom 4; Miss Corbett and Mrs. K. Andrews 3 v. Misses Shaw and Andrews 4; K. Andrews and Miss Cerbett 3 v. Street and Miss Hall 4; totals, 14—26. Okato thus won with ;a margin of 12 ffames.
