HOCKEY
AWUTARA CLUB. The first annual meeting of members of the 'Waitara Hockey Club was held in Mr. Buchanan's office on Wednesday evening. The balance-sheet, which was adopted, showed receipts for last season to be £3 19s 3d and expenditure £3 los lis, exclusive of £l, subscriptions outstanding. leaving a credit balance of £1 3s 4d. The following officers were elected:—President, Mr. Buchanan; vice-pre-sidents. Messrs J. Rennie, R. Gribbon and H. E. Vaughan: club captain, Mr. G. Bird; delegate. Mr. Ralph; secretary, Mr. Ralph; committee, Messrs Moore, Drake, Hoskin, the club captain and secretary. Subscriptions were fixed at the same rate as last season. The following new members were elected:—Messrs Bristol, Ingram, Sommerville, Kyle, Crowley and Murgatroyd.
