SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Meteorological Department reported at 5 p.m. yesterday:—Summary: The barometer has risen everywhere during the night, and moderate to strong westerly and southerly winds have prevailed, with changeable weather. Rain ha 9 fallen' in many parts of the country. The temperature has been rather low in the south last night and to-day. Foreeast: Present indications are for moderate southerly and westerly winds, with fair to cloudy weather generally. The barometer has a rising tendency.
