Defendant said he had travelled in many countries and had never been treated us he had been here, The Magistrate fined him £3. Defendant: "I will never pay it." He protested that he couldn't pay. He had been cooking for the Territorials, and said that the country was in the hands of wowsers. He would leave its shores at the earliest possible moment. His Worship fixed the alternative to the fine at 14 days' imprisonment.
