BOTH SIDES LOSE HEAVILY. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 26, 10 p.m. Mexico City, March 28, A fierce battle is raging in the neighborhood of Jaurez. Four hundred of the Federal troops are dead and 100 rebels' bodies have been found. General Banquette, the Government Party's leader, has been seriously wounded. The result of the battle is unknown. The rebels hold the superior position surrounding the heights, which the Federals are attacking. Salaz is reported to have committed suicide.
