THE BRITISH NAVY.
LORD CHARLES BERESFORD ON DEFENCE. By Cable—Presß Association—Copyright. London, March 24. Lord Charles Beresford, in a letter to the Times, says that Mr. Churchill would have been wiser if he had mapped out his policy of the defence of the Empire by calling in the help of the Dominions without reference to any power. He compliments Mr. Chirchill on the new war organisation of the Home Fleets, but states that cur low margin in the first fighting line as compared with Germany and Austria in 1915 involves the risk of a reverse.
