SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph—Pros Assoeiatien. Wellington, Last Night. | The Meteorological Office has issued the following summary and forecast:— . The barometer rose steadily in the north on Saturday and Sunday morning, but has fallen steadily in the southern districts. Southerly breezes backing to westerlies hare prevailed, with fair to - f cloudy weather. Present indications are for strong westerly winds generally, and i changing to southerly soon in the - southern districts. The barometer has a - falling tendency in the north, but a rise I is expected shortly in the south. Unsettled and cloudy weather probable on A the West Coast and southernmost disand changeable, fair to cloudy conf dittons elsewhere. Showery weather is probable in many parts of the country.
