DROWNED WHILE FISHING. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. A man whose identity is unknown wa« neen this afternoon to fall off the end of Clyde wharf into the harbor. Investigations failed to discover any trace of the man. Where he fell from there was a fishing line, suggesting that hj« had been fishing and had probably overbalanced himself. FATAL FALL FROM A DRAY. Christchurch, Last Night. An inquest was held at the hospital to-day in regard to the death of Joseph Richard Rosewaine, 17 years of age, who died from injuries sustained by falling from a loaded dray at Opapuku, net* Kaiapoi, yesterday. Dr. T. T. Thompson, house surgeon, stated that deceased's condition when he was admitted to the hospital was too bad to allow an operation to be performed, and he died from the effect of the injuries caused by the accident. The Coroner returned a verdict that death resulted from injuries caused by falling off a loaded dray. " PALMERSTON SHOOTING CASE. Palmerston N., Last Night. Healy, -who served for two hours on his rounds on a meat cart with a revolver bullet in his brain, where it had penetrated his forehead, is making good progress at the hospital, where the bullet was extracted by Dr. Martin.
