ÜBENUF. (From Our Own Correspondent). The Urenui Athletic Club's annual ball ivas held iu the Town Hall on -Tuesday night and proved a great success, overf 70 couples being present, among them) being visitors from Waitara, Uruti and j the surrounding districts. Dancing was kept up until 2 a.m. One feature of the affair was the excellent ait-down supper provided by Mrs. L. Waite. Mrs. George's orchestra provided the music ,in their usual well-known style, and Mr. . Lu. Rattenbury made an efficient M.C. I hear Mr. J. Gleeson has sold his farm at Waitoitoi. The Urenui schoolchildren's annual picnic was held yesterday .(Thursday), the children travelling to Ngaere for that purpose. ' , Mr. W. Telfar has leased his farm here to Mr. 'Sowry, of Uruti.
