' BALLOON CATCHES FIRE. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Berlin, March 19. A balloon manned by two officers broke from her moorings and drifted, dragging a steel rope. The latter touching a hightension wire made a short-circuit, and the balloon caught fire and dropped in the town of Bischeim. The officers were badly injured. QUICK-FIRERS FOR AEROPLANES. London, March 19. Vickers, Sons and Maxim successfully tested quick-firers portable by aeroplanes.
