The Meteorological Office Itas issued .the following summary and forecast:— The eydonic disturbance now centred off Great Barrier Island has ruled the conditions northward of and Kaikoura. South-east Iplw prevail at many stations, with weather and rain in many parts. '.% M barometer has fallen low in the Ljfortti, but has remained steady and Kplgjh la the south. Present indications mm for south-easterly winds, strong to backing to southerly northward of Spit and Kaikoura, moderate p» strong southerly winds elsewhere, and probable over the North Island, |taavy on the East Coast and northern Ijwt of the South Island, and cool and tihanxeable weather elsewhere. The Pwill probably rise everywhere * ten hours. Heavy seas are ,t the East Cape, Kaikoura and trait.
