Mr. John Heslop has been .reappointed a member of the Taranaki La3d Board. . . Mrs. H. Scotland, widow of the late Hon. H. Scotland, M.L.C., has planned to spend the spring months in her native eounty (Cornwall), writes a London correspondent. Tancred, of Westown .(Nsy Plymouth) and Miss Margery Lawsoa, elder daughter of Mr. and the Hon. Mrs. Lawson, of Aldbrough Manor, <Bo#roughbrifjge, and' granddaughter of Viscount Mount Garret. Curiously enough, the Lawsons bought the property Aidborough Manor from the Tancred- forbears, about the year 110Q, and Borroughbridge belongs to them, being part of the Manor, and through the pride's ' marriage will be the means of the return of the Tanoreds to their old home.-
