ATHLETICS.
\ OKATO SPORTS. The Okato sports, which were postponed from Thursday on account of the wet weather, were held yesterday under most unfavorable weather conditions. This must have proved most disappointing to the public, and particularly to the | hard-working committee and secretary, | Mr. J. Wooldridgs, who had spared no. pains to ensure the success of the gath-l ering. Indeed, all that was necessary! was fine weather, but the fates were unpropitious. The committee, however, ] were not daunted, and courageously; faced the position, with the result that' an interesting day's sport eventuated.!
