FOOTBALL
NORTHERN UNION GAME. The Mangatoki Sports Committee have included a seven-a-side tournament for Northern Union players in their sports programme on Thursday, 21pt inst. Teams are entering from Manga-, toki, Eltliam and New Plymouth (two), and the winning team wiil receive a set of gold medals valued at 25s each. The following teams will represent New Plymouth:—East team: C. J. Mac Lean, If. Kyle, E. Stockman, H. 'M. Smith, H. Ph-> kere, S. Paul, M. A. Poleon. West team:' D. Twohill, McLean, H. Tocker, M. Jul- I ian, P. Allan, C. Johnson, W. Wynyard. . a In view of the visit of the Australian team this year, and a return visit by a New Zealand team later in the season, players should get into condition early/ as Taranaki is sure to be well represented. I' The Taranaki. v. Australia match is to be played at New Plymouth.
