SUMMAEY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. i, The .Meteorological Office has issued the following summary and forecast:— The barometer rose rapidly during Tuesday night, with strong southerly winds and heavy rain in most parts of the country. Considerable rain was reported to-day in the north, and hazy and dowry weather b also much in evidence. Present indications are for a falling barometer everywhere, with mild and changeable weather, increasing haze and efoudiness, showery in parts and freshening northerly winds generally.
