RE-EMPLOYMENT OF STRIKERS. Received 13, 1 a.m. Brisbane, Maren 12. The.Railway Commissioner is appointing a committee to consider applications for the re-employment of strikers. MINERS WILL NOT PRECIPITATE ACTION. Received 12, 11.30 p.m. Sydney, March 12. All the mines in the Newcastle and Maitland districts worked the afternoon shift. The union officials state they are unwilling to prejudice their case by precipitate action, and will continue to work until the conference is over. It is generally considered that the afternoon shift will soon be abolished, however, when the conference ends.
