PANIC AT A FIRE.
MANY FATALITIES. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. New York, March 10. A fire gutted a lodging-house in Chicago, six being killed. A man jumped from the fourth floor and was dashed to death on the pavement. Others wove suffocated. The two hundred persons who occupied the building rushed panic-stricken into the street, and several are missing, but it is believed they are safe.
The firemen rescued many who were overcome by smoke.
