The Commerce Department' has received the following cablegram from Buenos Aires dated March 6:—The following shipments of produce were dispatched from the Argentine to United Kingdom ports during February, 1912 (compared with February, .1911): Frozen beef; 1912, 1,50,000 quarters (1911, r 108,168 quarters); chilled beef, 1912, 154,000 quarters (1911, 129,141); frozen mutton, 1912, 261,000 carcases (1911, 113,606); frozen lamb, 1912, 73,000 earcases (1911, 27,236 carcases);, butter, 191$ 12,296cwt. (1911, 1300cwt.). The New Zealand Loan & Mercantile Agency Company have received the following cablegram from their London house, under date 6th inst.:—Tallow: fine mutton 3s 3d per cwt; good beef, •32s 9d; mixed, 31s 3d. Market dull for fine mutton and fine beef. Wheat sold at 37s 7%d c.i.f. Australian cargo. Market is quiet and steady, owing to light arrivals, and the outlook is encouraging.
