AUSTRALIAN BUTTER.
DOESN'T GET A FAIR CHANCE. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Sydney, March 7. The Agent-General, reporting on the butter export, states that an extraordinary fact is that no Australian butter is sold in the West End of London as such; consequently there is no opportunity of winning a name, and the price suffers accordingly. Dealing with the advantages of Danish over Australian, he states that the former is uniform in quality, and in this respect New Zealand has also an advantage over Australian. Only inferior qualities are sold as Australian. If these conditions were altered more profitable prices would be obtained.
