ARBITRATION COURT.

SITTING AT NEW PLYMOUTH. A brief sitting of the Arbitration Court was held at the Courthouse, New Plymouth, yesterday morning. Mr. Justice Sim presided. The only business before the court was the confirmation of some technical alterations in both the Taranaki Tailoring Industrial Union's and the Taranaki Painters' and Decorators' proposed new awards. Mr. P. Muir appeared for the Tailors' Union, and Mr. F. Keyling for the Painters' Union. All the, clauses in both agreements had already been approved in the Conciliation Court by the respective parties to the disputes. The following parties were added to the tailors' award: Messrs. Sargood, Son & Ewen, Mackay,, Logan & Caldwell, Ambury Bros., Morey & Son, New Plymouth; the Melbourne Clothing Company (Inglewood, Stratford and Eltham), Gibson Bros., Ltd. (Hawera ■ and Eltham), George Davis (Hawera), R. A. Adams, Ltd. (Patea), Armitage, Hunt, and A. Lilly (Manaia); J. Alpine and Goldstone (Eltham); W. Thomas (Waitara); Hallenstein Bros. (Eltham, Hawera and Stratford).
