LICENSING ELECTIONS. Timaru, Last Wight. Licensing committee contests taka place for Temuka and Waitaki electorates, but not in Timaru electorate. LOCAL GOVERNMENT BILL, Timaru, Last Night. The chairmen of Mackenzie and Level* County Councils adversely comment on the Local Government Bill, saying that it leaves too much to be done by th« Board in Wellington and by Orders-in-Council. QUEENSTOWN-MT. COOK MOTOR ' SERVICE. ' Timaru, Last Night. The Hon. T. Mackenzie, while passing through to the south to-day, mentioned that he will probably return north next week inland by the Mt. Cook motor-can service from Queenstown. This will be a sort of official opening of the Queen-town-Mt Cook line, though cars haTH been running through the season with! a satisfactory amount of patronage. THE DOMINION'S REVENUE. ' Wellington, Last Night. ' The Dominion's revenue for the eleven nronths of the financial year totals £9,692,202, an increase of £703,103 over the revenue for the corresponding months of the previous year.
