Seventy-eight thousand, nine hundred and sixty-four old-age pensions are in operation in the Commonwealth, representing an expenditure of £2,060,000. A QUEENSLAND LOAN. Received 5, 11.50 p.m. Melbourne, March 5. Queensland has been granted a loan of £1,000,000 from the Federal trust funds at 3y 2 per cent.
