MEMBERS PREVENTED FROM FIGHTING. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Washington, March 3. During a debate in the House of Representatives in committee, in connection with the Lawrence strike, a proposal was made by Mr. Berg, of Wisconsin, to adjourn the hearing of the citizens' side of the strike dispute. Mr. Macartney, a member of the Lawrence Citizens' Committee, opposed the adjournment on the ground of the expense of keeping witnesses in Washington.
Mr. Berg objected to the collection of funds, alleging that any assistance would be blood money. A furious scene followed, other members preventing Berg and Macartney fighting. ,
