A GARDEN CITY.

N.S.W. CABINET'S PLANS. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Sydney, February 29. In the Assembly Mr. Dacey, in moving the second reading of the Housing Bill, declared that the scheme would cause no great drain of the labor market. For every tradesman required one would bj brought from England to replace him.

It was proposed to erect a garden city and to offer the people a healthy life. No hotels would be allowed within the area. He considered it equally necessary for the Government to construct houses as for it to make railways. The scheme would cost half a million. Between 800 and 900 houses would be erected.

©ne of the Labor members came into collision with the chair, and was removed from the Chamber.

The second reading of the Bill was carried.
