NO DAMAGE DONE. A PRECEDENT IN 1812. By Cable'—Press Association—Copyright. London, February 26. A man who was seated in the central hall of the House of Commons fired a revolver, but did no serious damage. He was seized and stated that his reason was that the Government is suppressing Tolstoi's teaching of the Messiah. The revolver was fully loaded with ball cartridge. Received 28, 12.10 a.m. London, February 27. The man who fired a revolver in the House of Commons states he is a licensed preacher named Henry, and came to the House of Commons to see Mr. Asquith. The last time a firearm was discharged in the House of Commons, was on May 11th, 1812, when Bellingham shot the Premier, Mr. Spencer Percival.
