/CHILD KILLED BY MATCH-HEADS. By Telegraph—Preen Association. Dunedin, Last Night. 'An inquest was held at Portobello this afternoon on Alec Turnbujl Clarks, aged 23 months, who died on Sunday night after a brief illness. The evidence showed that the child had been eeen with phosphorous matches on the previous Monday, and took ill on Friday. A' verdict was returned that death ensued from phosphorous poisoning, caused by eating match heads.
