The National "Federation of Colliery Enginemen has decided to cease work in the event of a strike, except for keeping water out of the collieries. The Premier conferred with leading coalowners, and afterwards saw King George, who was desirous of being kept informed regarding the strike. The Transport Workers' Federation at is conference at Manchester resolved to give any assistance the miners required, including the refusal to handle home and foreign coal.
